Things get messed up: When communication isn’t specific, and others assume you have prior knowledge, so details are left out…things can get messed up. You don’t know that you don’t know 🤷🏼♀️ We can perceive the situation from our partial information and act with misplaced confidence- WE mess up. Everyone messes up!
People don’t always tell the truth when they mess us. Sometimes they can’t handle others knowing they made a mistake or misspoke-so they blame shift.
Sometimes we get asked to fix the mess that was created by someone else. We have to be the bearer of bad news. We have to take one for the “team” that doesn’t even want us as a player. Maybe because they aren’t capable, or maybe there’s something manipulative going on and you know it but the fight isn’t worth it…
Integrity is lacking in the world today. Instead of admitting errors, the instinct is to point fingers. Instead of accepting fault, the natural behavior is to blame, deceive or flat out lie.
This is the stuff that gets under our skin and drives us crazy. This is what happens when we decide to get our hands dirty and work with….. PEOPLE. 😫 🥴
These things are not what we would choose but it is what happens. This is the stuff God can use to show us how to be graceful, to have integrity and to have kindness towards those who may not have any to give themselves.
